Elana Goldstein, DVM
Urgent Care Department
Dr. Goldstein graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2020. Interestingly, her path to veterinary medicine wasn’t a straightforward one. Initially, Dr. Goldstein had planned to pursue a career in behavioral ecology and ethology. However, after working as a veterinary technician following college, she developed a deep interest in veterinary medicine, particularly after gaining mentorship and insight from the veterinarian she worked alongside. This sparked a shift in her career direction, leading her to pursue a veterinary degree.
After graduating, Dr. Goldstein began working at VCA Desert in Palm Springs, focusing on primary care veterinary medicine. She also took on relief shifts at the Palm Springs Animal Shelter, gaining diverse experience in the field.
Though Dr. Goldstein doesn’t have pets of her own, she enjoys living vicariously through her parents and their dogs. Outside of work, Dr. Goldstein is passionate about hiking, camping, and backpacking, often jumping into any lake, river, or ocean she can find. She fully embraces the freedom of nature and outdoor adventure.
